Welcome to Elite Fund, Inc.
Elite Fund's primary focus is to assist school districts, libraries, and rural health care agencies with the Federal E-rate Program. The Universal Service Fund (USF) or the E-rate Program provides dollars to schools, libraries, and rural health care agencies across the country to enhance telecommunication services.
The dollars distributed are based upon a percentage derived from the local district’s free and reduced lunch count (or other approved data indicating poverty level) and the district's urban/rural classification. The dollars may be used in four broad categories for schools and libraries:
-
Telecommunications Services (i.e. local, long distance, cellular telephone, and paging)
-
Internet Access (Internet service provider and other related charges)
-
Internal Connections (wiring and electronics to enable #1 or #2)
-
Basic Maintenance (basic maintenance of internal connections)
Each year the federal government allocates dollars to help reduce the costs of products and services in these four areas. Depending upon a district’s or building’s free and reduced lunch count, discounts of 20% to 90% may be attained.
Elite Fund supports nearly 100 schools (public, private and charter), libraries and rural health care agencies with the E-Rate process.
